Announcing Our New President!
We want to share with you that Peter Pearson, co-founder of Library Strategies and President of The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library, is preparing to retire at the end of this year after 25 years in his role. While he’s stepping down as President, the good news for Library Strategies is that he won’t be going far! Peter will remain a principal consultant with the group on an ongoing basis.
Peter’s experience in all aspects of library fundraising and advocacy makes him extremely valuable to Library Strategies and our clients. He has been a keynote speaker and presenter at national and state conferences on a wide range of topics, and he is working on creating a Library Strategies webinar series which will be available early in 2017.
Peter’s successor, who will serve as president of The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library, has been named. Beth Burns, who most recently served as Vice President for External Relations at the Minnesota Zoo, will join The Friends on December 5th and work with Peter through his last month to ensure a smooth transition.
