Meet Karen Rose
Business Development Coordinator and Lead Consultant
Karen comes to Library Strategies with over 15 years of experience as a fundraising and strategic planning professional. She was a consultant with Professional Fundraising Services for nearly seven years and ran her own consulting firm for four years. Karen specializes in feasibility studies, board training, and strategic planning. She has worked with a variety of clients, including museums, private and public schools, churches, social service agencies and community development organizations. Karen’s fundraising career also includes serving as Director of Advancement for a private college in Minnesota.
Karen’s background includes a successful career in corporate sales, working for an international marketing/communications firm, Jack Morton Worldwide. She was recognized for her leadership on several project teams and led the Minneapolis office in sales for several years. Karen also served in the public sector for both federal and local governments. In addition, she provided consulting services for several State-funded collaborative initiatives in communities across Minnesota. Karen lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two boys. She enjoys just about any outdoor activity, but especially hiking, running, and biking. Her favorite books include historical fiction and trends in sociology/psychology.
