Library Strategies Coordinates Metro-Wide Author Program

Club Book, Library Strategies Consulting Group, Library Consulting

One of Library Strategies newest projects is coordinating Club Book, a program of the Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA) funded through the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. Club Book is a unique player in the Twin Cities literary events scene. This is the third year of the program, designed to bring bestselling and award-winning authors to libraries in the seven county metro region.

Library Strategies consultants work with area libraries to identify famous and up-and-coming authors to appear at their libraries – from poets to sports writers and cookbook authors to mystery writers. Our consultants work closely with publishers and Common Good Books to bring a rich array of authors in for two seasons of great author programs each year.

To take a peek at the Winter/Spring 2014 lineup, go to www.clubbook.org. A new addition to this year’s program is the Club Book Podcast.  If you miss one of your favorite authors, want to take another listen, or share the event with your friends, you can easily download their program from the Club Book website or on iTunes – this addition is turning into a huge hit!

If your library is interested in learning about similar programming, contact Library Strategies and we’ll connect you with one of our consultants.
